The FCU-100WA-S2 is a 2 Wavelength WDM Converter designed to fit into the fast growing optical fiber network deployment. This stand-alone converter adapts to the emerging WDM technology and is able to expand a copper based network up to 20KM through a single optical fiber and provide bi-direction. In addition, the built-in Switching ASIC has turned the FCU-100WA-S2 function into a 2 port switch instead of a traditional converter.
